Wholegrains
Wholegrains provide additional fibre and minerals compared to refined grains, and are a source of carbohydrates that fuel the brain. Grain foods like wheat, rice and oats are some of the least allergenic foods. Gluten, a protein that is found in wheat is well tolerated by the vast majority of our population. Grain foods such as bread, cereals, pasta and rice are not fattening! The are made up mostly of carbohydrates which contain the same amount of energy as protein and less than half that of fat.
