Quick Tip

Avocado
The best way to determine if an avocado is ripe, is to gently press around where the stem was attached. If the flesh yields slightly it should be ripe and ready to eat. When storing half an avocado, always replace the avocado stone in it, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate to prevent browning. Avocadoes are perfect for use in sandwiches, salads and dips. Cut or slice just prior to using to prevent from going brown, alternatively squeeze a little lemon juice over the cut surface.
