Rice- absorption method
When cooking rice by the absorption method, always allow 1½ cups boiling water per 1 cup of rice. Add the rice to your saucepan of boiling water and partially covered with a lid for 5 minutes. Turn the heat to low, cover completely with the lid, and cook a further 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave to stand 5 minutes, before fluffing the rice with a fork to serve.
